Siquijor Is.

Usually, can see group of Barracuda in Siquijor Is.
But this time, I cannot see them, but nice weather and good condition.

Here is a Barracuda point in Tutopos (Sanctuary). In this Tree House, somebody are staying. ☆　★　☆　★　☆

Malapascua Is.

Here is Malapascua Is. 30 min. by bankaboat from Maya (north Cebu Is.)
Bad weather, raining, big wave, strong current, etc...

Here is Cocobana Resort's Bar. 1 beer 35peso. Just expensive another resort. Now season, many vacant room, except Exotic Dive & Resort by Japanese group. ☆　★　☆　★　☆

In this season, bad weather, but not come here Typhoon. Sometimes canceled diving tour, because the sea become rough. There are 4 diving services in this island. Exotic, Sea Explorers, etc.. Visibility is bad. In Tapiron, 5m. In other point,10〜15m. The coral was broken by Dynamite Fishing. ☆　★　☆　★　☆

Div.Point

I walked around this island. I could walk 2hours half. Almost place, it's fisherman's village. Of course,not tourist resort. Left photo is North Malapascua. Like a old Boracai Is. ☆　★　☆　★　☆

(Hotel & Restaurant) There are over 10 hotels In Bounty Beach (south Malapascua). 1night about 500peso. Restaurant ：Sunsplush is good. Here is Italian Restaurant. ☆　★　☆　★　☆

I want to go to here too at good weather's season.

Siquijor Is.

Now season, no good weather. Everyday,it was raining.
But I could see group of Barracuda.
And this time, I tried underwater photos (disital).

This diving Point is Salogdoong (30min.), and Sanctuary (15min.) from hotel (Kiwi) by car. The Anemonefish is very easy model. Because they don't escape

Bohol (Alona Beach)

I have been to Alona Beach (Bohol/Panglao) after an interval of two years.
New Resort Hotel (high class) opened.
Oasis Resort back of SeaQuest. 1night US$37 (no Aircon).
Alona Palm Beach in next side Atlantis. (1night about US$100).

	Old Japanese Airplane. "YS11". I 'm first time ride on this airplane. It's 20 minutes from Cebu(Mactan) to Tagbilaran. (Price P1,010/Round Trip)

Bohol (Cabilao Is.)

It is rain, strong wind, and big wave everyday, bad weather.
But I can dive in north side of Cabilao Is. here is no wave.
This time, I regret that I can't take underwater photos.
Because, I forgot O ring of Underwater Housing of Digital Camera.

I stayed Polaris. Here is new opened in the year 2001.
Of cause, there is diving service in Polaris.

I maked the map of Cabilao Is. ☆★☆★ Diving Points and Resorts are concentrating. in north west of Cabilao Is. Talisay is entrance village from Tagbilaran by Taxi, etc. You can move by motorbike, because bad road.

I take this photo from lighthouse. The lighthouse which is likely to break at any moment. This side is north of Cabilao Is. And it is no wave in right side of that sandbar. That sandver move by monsoon.

Here is pier of Looc. Everyday, I dived near here, because bad weather. Polaris's bankaboat is moored here, in order to avoid a wave. It is quiet the underwater, visibility is about 15m, and water temperature 27〜28℃. I can see lovely Sea Slugs, but can't see Hammer Head Shirks.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. again at New Year holidays.
It was fine sometimes cloudy and night sometimes rain.
There were some waves, but it was no probrem to dive.
Temperature and water temperature were about 28〜30℃.
But it was misfortune. PAL was delayed, and Supercat was full.

Here is very quiet beach in front of hotel (Kiwi).	And beautiful Sunset.

Soon meet many Barracudas. Lucky！	Sea Anemone & Anemone Fish. Very beautiful Sea Anemone's Blue.

Very lovely. (about 3cm)	Swimming Moray. This is a rare case.

Stingray. He didn't escape. (about 30cm)	Giant cuttlefish. (about30cm) She laid an egg in here.

Cebu city

To see Cebu city & Mactan Is. from Mountain View. (near Tops)	Carriage (Calesa). In dountown (near St.Nino) of Cebu city.

Bohol (Alona Beach)

I have been to Alona Beach (Bohol) after a long absence.
This time, it is Cold Summer (in Tokyo 20℃ Max ？) in Japan.
Unusual weather ? Usually, it is bad weather in this season in Philippines.
But this time, it was fine and it was the best condition for Diving.
And there were few the visitors.

I go to Tagbilaran from Cebu by "YS11" of Asian Spirit. This is a small Propeller Plane with a capacity of 64 persons. But the passengers were only 4 persons. ＊　＊　＊ In front of Sea Quest of Aloha Beach. This Boat is new one. (You can go to Balicasag Is. at 15 min.)

Under Water World

He intends to hide hisself at the usual place Frogfish in Kalipayan.	The Threadsail filefish He was still for a moment.

The small Barracuda group. You can see many kind of fish in here (Kalipayan) near Alona Bach.	The couple of Whitecollar coralfish.

What a nice lip you are！ The Yellow angelfish in Cabilao Is.	The Ballon fish & Mr.Jomel (SeaQuest's Guide).

Around Panglao

I have been to around the Panglao Is. by rental motorbike of Sea Quest. There were many Hotel & Deluxe Private House along the beach. Then, these beach side road is soon the end. The right photo is near Doljo (north of Panglao).

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. again at New Year holidays.
The typhoon passed through, but It was windy & rainy.
It was cold in the water about 26℃.
I weared double wetsuit.

The OceanJet (fast ship) began to sail from Cebu to Larena after last April. (via Tagbilaran) Of course, you can choice SuperCat too. It is in detail here. (Timetable) The left phot, here is near Kiwi (Diving resort in Siquijor Is.)

This time, I could not take a nice photo in the water.
It expects next time.

Cabilao Is.

My Short Holidays, I have been to Cabilao Is. after a long time.
I'm very lucky,
because best condition for scuba diving (no wave, no wind, and clear up).
But I couldn't see a big fish & a rare fish.

	The OceanJet (fast ship) began to sail from Cebu to Tubigon. (One way P200.) Tubigon is the central point from Cebu to Tagbilaran. Only 50min. from Cebu city. And here is very small town. The left photo, to look out a view of Tubigon town from the pier.
To go to Resort of Cabilao Is. by taxi, bamboo boat, and motor bike. About 30min. from Tubigon to Mocpoc of Sandingan Is. (side of Cabilao Is.) by taxi. Its fee is P700 by one box type with aircon. (Need negotiations.) If you wish more cheap, you can take a bus or geepny, but need long time. The right photo is north west of Cabilao Is. Here is the diving point.
	There are some Resort in here. I stayed in Polaris again. 2years ago, I have been to stay in here. To multiply the room. And to complete the swimming pool. But there is nothing in the swimming pool. It save the rain water only rainy season. Of course, there is the diving service, and the big bamboo boat. The left photo is Polaris's Bar. Nice view, here！

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. again at August 07-15.
It was windy, rainy, and wave.
For escape the wind and the wave,
we go to dive to north east coast by car carried a small boat from Kiwi (Dive resort).
This time, I'm very happy, because see big group of Barracudas.
And It was warm in the water about 29-30℃.

Stingray. He fell into a trap. After 2 days, He stayed still here.	Please stop. Bluebanded Angelfish.
Very beautiful. Japanese name is "UMIUSHI".	This size is about 15cm. Japanese name is "UMIUSHI".
Lunch time? Triggerfish.	I came near to 2〜3m. They didn't escape, got together. The group of Barracudas in Sanctuary.
	In front of Kiwi (stayed). It was no wind, no wave, leave before.
Here is Larena pier. (Entrance of Siquijor Is.) It is convenient to go by "OceanJet" (fast ship) from Cebu city. (Right photo is "OceanJet".) Now, no service "SuperCat" (fast ship).

Cabilao Is.

I have been to Cabilao Is. at New Year's Holiday.
The price of Fast Ferry & Hotel had risen.
Best condition for scuba diving (no wave, no wind, and clear up).
But I couldn't see a big fish & a rare fish.

	It is famous for the beautiful beach in Cabilao Is. The sands, there is almost nothing. Only few sand remain in the shore. You cannot swim with bare feet.
I stayed in Polaris. Here, there are Swimming pool, Billiards... About 10 room. This season is full. Please reserve. And there are Diving Service here. Near here, there are many good point.

Japanese eel in House Reef (Night Div.).	Helmet crab. (about 15cm). He has a hair ???
Moray in the shallows (about 3m).	The sunset at PM6:00.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. again at April 29 - May05.
I'm very lucky, because best condition for scuba diving
and I can see very beautiful SUNSET everyday.
But I couldn't see a big fish & a rare fish.

April 30 Fine weather (no Clouds)	May 01 There are a little clouds. Very beautiful color.
May 02 It's cloudy.	May 03 This is a most much Beer (S.M.). Of course, I like it.

Sea Slug	Sea Slug There are many kind of Sea Slug.
Upside-down Jelly fish Are you heavy your head ?	Anemone Fish It is easy to photograph.
This room is the biggest cottage in Kiwi. Include a refrigerator and a hot shower.	South of Siquijor Is.(near Lazi)

Cabilao Is.

This time, I have been to go to Cabilao Is. again.
Only 2days 5dives.
But, I'm very lucky, because best condition for scuba diving.
It was 30℃ in underwater.

	The SuperCat was reduced. Now, nothing SuperCat from Cebu to Tagbilaran. I have been to Tagbilaran by OceanJet. It was changed schedule of OceanJet Please be careful. (Please look at timetable page, you can look at the details of a schedule.)

Moalboal

I have been to Moalboal after a long time (about 7 years).
I took a Taxi from Mactan Airport.
About 3 hours, the fee is 1,900 Peso.
I'm very lucky, because best condition for scuba diving.
It was 28℃ in underwater.

Anemone Fish.	Trumpet Fish.
Blackspotted blowfish (like a Dog face).	Purple Beauty.
The beautiful Sunset at the exit of the diving.	It is the wonderful view from the bar of Quo Vadis (I stayed hotel).
	The left photo is the hotel (Quo Vadis) I stayed. (The swimming pool, and the restaurant.) There are the bar, the diving service (Visaya Divers), and Deluxe room cottages. It is the best view from these Deluxe room cottages. The fee is 1,500Peso/night with aircon, and hot shower. (The street side is 500Peso/night.) The peak season is full book. Need a reservation.
The right photo is the White Beach from Moalboal by the tricycle (about 15min.). Here is the public beach and need a entrance fee (10Peso). And there are some hotels here.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. again at April 29 - May07.
It stopped the sailing of Super Cat & Ocean Jet from Cebu city to Larena (Siquijor Is.).
If you want to go to Siquijor Is., you can try to go to Siquijor (town) via Dumaguete
by Ocean Jet or to Larena by Don Martin (slow Ship).
Or, try to go to Dumaguete by Bus & Ferry.
(The charter airplane is very expensive.)

	I can't take the Ocean Jet, because full book by fiesta. Then, I tried to go to Dumaguete by Bus & Car ferry. ( Car ferry : Bato-Tampi ) fee (Aircon-Bus) P190 + (Ferry) P56 time (Cebu Southern T.-Bato) 3hours (waiting in Bato) 1hour (Bato-Tampi) 45min. (Tampi-Dumaguete) 30min. I changed a return root. I tried from Larena to Dumaguete by Canoan Jet. (This ship is slow about 1hour 30min.) Dumaguete to Sibulan by Tricycle (about 20min.) Sibulan to Liloan by small boat. (about 30min.) (P37)。 It's waiting the Bus in pier of Liloan. (about 2hours 30min. to Cebu City) The Bus is No Good, because over speed and full passenger.

Sunset of "Kiwi Dive Resort". Here is north east from Larena (Siquijor Is.) 15min. by car. It is very beautiful and wonderful the Sunset. I will go back again...

Moalboal

I have been to Moalboal again at Aug,12-16.
This time, I took a taxi because I have no time. Taxi fee is 2.000 Pesos.
It is fine, but strong wind, big wave, and sometime Skole.
I could see Turtle and Napoleon. But I couldn't take a nice photos.

Cabilao Is.

I have been to Cabilao Is.(Bohol) again (Dec.28-Jan.03).
It was rain everyday sometime fine, and it was cool at night (23℃).
Sometimes, the visibility was bad (about 5〜10m) in shallow.
I stayed "Polaris"(usually use).。
Full booked in this time. But I can stay in incomplete room.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. & Cebu again (Aug.11-19).
Usually, it is bad weather at this season.
But, I'm lucky because it was fine everyday this time.
And It was very warm in under water. It was 30℃ under 20-30m. Unbelievable !

I tried to move Cebu-Dumaguete by Bus & Ferry.
I wrote plus "move by Bus & Ferry" in "Dumaguete"of "Go To Resort"Page.
Please Lock at this.

	The departure time is 19:00. It is the lust direct Bus from Cebu Southern terminal to Dumaguete. I went to Bato (dep. 17:30), because I have a surplus time. And I transfered Ferry in Bato, Jeepney in Tampi. I could arrive at 23:30 in hotel of Dumaguete by this way Just hard way. But I could arrive early in Kiwi (Siquijor Is.). Usually, I stay in Kiwi (Siquijor Is.). This season is a off season. Just lonely. Right photo is a speed boat of Kiwi.

	Sunset in Kiwi. It is very very beautiful. I never get tired even if to look at every evening I'll be back !

Moalboal

I have been to Moalboal again at New Year holidays (Dec.28-Jan.03).
It was fine everyday sometime rain, and no wave, no wind.
It was 25〜26℃ in underwater.
I have seen Big Turtle (about 1.5m). He (She) swam calmly.

From Cebu (Mactan) to here by Taxi. The fee was P2,000 (one way).

Left picture is "Kawasan Falls". From Moalboal to here by Trycigle. It runs along a coast about 40〜50min. And it walks along a river about 15min. Many people were coming here as New Year's holiday. That boys are climbing, of course for dive. It was cold here's water.

Sunset in Quo Vadis (Moalboal). It is very very beautiful. I never get tired even if to look at every evening I'll be back !

Cabilao Is.

I have been to Cabilao Is.(Bohol) again.(Only 4days)
It was fine everyday sometime rain, and no wave, no wind.
It was 28〜29℃ in underwater.

	In "Polaris'' of Cabilao Is. (Usual Hotel) Go to dive by small boat. (center of picture) And Polaris has a big bamboo boat. (To use Div. Safari)
At night in ''Polaris''. Very quiet.
	Lionfish. To take a picture very easy, because he doesn't move.
Pennant coralfish. In Shark Point. Before(over 15 years), I have seen Hammer-head Shark here. But now, I don't listen to see Hammer-head Shark.
	Napoleon fish. In deep 4〜5m. Soon go away.

Camiguin Is.

I have been to Camiguin Is. at Aug.10-17 after an interval 11years.
All prices are HIGH ! (Surprise & Anger)
It was bad weather. sometime heavy rain, sometime fine everyday.
It was very warm in underwater "29℃".

	It's 40 minutes from Cebu to Camiguin Is. by Seair. But it was finish this route at Aug 13. Therefore, I returned to Cebu via Butuan of Mindanao Is. by ship, bus, and plane. going：(Seair) Cebu - Camiguin (P3,097) (Truck) Airport - Yumbing (P250) returning：(Truck) Yumbing - Benoni (P400) (Car Ferry) Benoni - Balingoan (P135) (Bus) Balingoan - Butuan (P175) (PAL) Butuan - Cebu (P1,005) It' about half day returning. Left photo is Camiguin Is. and White Is.
Right photo is "GOLDEN SUNSET BEACH CLUB". I stayed here. 1night P1,600/AC(cottage)。 Diving service is Johnny's Dive 'N' Fun in Secret Caves Beach Resort. 5-10 minutes from here by walk.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor Is. at New Year holidays (Dec.27-Jan.03).
It was bad weather. always cloudy sometime rain, sometime fine everyday.
I couldn't see The group of Barracudas, because had been caught too match ???

	Usualy, to use fast ferry boat (OceanJet) from Cebu city to Siquijor Is. (Please Look at the page of Time Table.) This time, I tried to use Bus & Boat. Dep. 6:00 Cebu city − Arr. 16:00 Kiwi (Div.Resort in Siquijor Is.)
Around the Island by rental Motor Bike. Into the Mountain. I had a map, but about line, lost road. But very beautiful view.
Lovely "Sea Slug".	I couldn't see the big fish.

I have been to Moalboal at Golden week holidays (May 2-May 6).
Very short. Only 5days.
It was rain and cloudy (May2-3), and it was fine after Diving (May4-6).
(Underwater 27℃)

	Big group of Sardinops. Too many. Over 1 million??? Like a Submarine.

	This time, I tryed to go from Cebu city to Moalboal by the rental Motorbike It is good road (all asphalt road). From Cebu city to Moalboal, about 100km, about 3hours. But, in Philippines, BAD Traffic manner The Big Bus is the most BAD. Over speed and dangerous Overtake Left photo in Barili.

Siaton

I have been to Siaton at Aug.9-16.
Here is south west of Dumaguete. 1hour trip from Dumaguete by Bus.
Very beautiful SUNSET in front of Hotel.
Now rainy season but it was fine everyday.
Of course,Diving point is Apo Is.
I could see a group of Jackfish, turtle...

	(Getting there) Dumaguete B.T.→Siaton B.T. by Bus (P40, 1hour) Siaton B.T.→Hotel by Tricycle (P120, 30min.) (Hotel) Monarch Sands Beach Resort I searched this Hotel by Web Pages. But I didn't understand here's location, because nothing Map.
Here is small Hotel. 5 Cottages (nice view), 1night P900, nothing A/C,TV. (Diving) Nothing Diving Service. But, no problem. Div. guide come to here from Dumaguete (Please request to front.) (Diving fee) In case of 1person only. P13,500 (6dives(include Apo Is.2dives)

I have been to Cabilao Is.(Bohol) at New Year holidays (Dec.29-Jan.04).
It was rain and cloudy (Dec.31-Jan.01).
It was 27〜28℃ in underwater.

I have been to Siquijor at Aug. 12-16.
Very short. Only 5days.
It was fine everyday.
And It was 27〜28℃ in underwater. But bad visibility.

Camiguin Is.

I have been to Camiguin Is. at New Year holidays (Dec.29-Jan.04).
This time, by the airplane from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro.
And by the bus from Cagayan de Oro To Balingoan (near Cmmiguin Is.).
And by car-ferry "Balingoan-Benoni (Camiguin Is.)".
It was bad weather. The rain and cloudy, sometime (only 1 day) fine.
But, it was good condition in underwater (28℃).
"After Diving", I 've been to Hot Springs (Ardent Hot Springs).
It is unusual in Philippines

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor at April. 29- May 5.
It was fine everyday sometime rain, and small wave, wind.
It was 26〜27℃ in underwater and bad visibility.

	I can't ride on Ocean Jet. And I have been to Siquijor from Cebu via Liloan, Dumaguete by Bus & Boat Now season, full passengers. BUS(Cebu-Liloan), Boat(Liloan-Sibulan), Trycicle(Sibulan-Dumaguete), Delta �V(Dumaguete-Siquijor)。 About 6-7 hours from Cebu city to Siquijor Kiwi (left photo).

Moalboal

After an interval of two years, I have been to Moalboal at Aug. 12-16.
It's a good season. (No hot)
From Cebu (Mactan) Airport to Moalboal by taxi (P2,400).
I could arrive at PM8:00. (3 hours)

Cabilao Is.

After an interval of two years, I have been to Cabilao Is. at Dec.29-Jan.04.
Sometimes It's rain (Scoll), but no wave,no wind, no current.
And very beautiful Sunset.

Siquijor Is.

I have been to Siquijor again at Aug.11- 19.
About 8 hours by bus & Boat from Cebu city.
Very beautiful SUNSET !! in Kiwi (Hotel).
And, come back many Barracudas.

	This is a rental motorbike of Kiwi. (P600/day) About 3 hours around the island.

I have been to Camiguin Is. at New Year's holidays (Dec.29-Jan.06).
This time, from Cebu to Butuan by the airplane.
And from Butuan to Balingoan (near Camiguin Is.) by the bus.
And from Balingoan to Benoni (Camiguin Is.) by car-ferry.
Sometime, it's heavy rain.

	This time, I stayed Secret Cave Beach Resort. 1 night P1,600 include aircon, TV, refrigerator. This Restaurant & Bar is very good. And very quiet. (No new year's party.) Only a few customer (3〜4 couples). Of course, I can look at the sea from my room.

Olango Is.

I have been to Cebu & Olango Is. (near Mactan Is.) at May3-6 (Only 4 days).
About 20 min. from Mactan Is.(Hilton Pier) to Olango Is. (St.Rosa).
About P10 (Boat fee). Noting timetable.
I stayed Talima Resort. Close Diving Service (Polaris), but open near Diving Service (Mokie).
If it is lucky, you can see big fish in north of the Island (Shark Point).
(Unlucky ! I can't see big fish.)

	Here is the entrance of Olango Is. (St.Rosa). Here pier is beautiful & long (200m). (in St.Rosa pier)
I stayed "Talima Resort". (Beach side of Talima R.) There is Swimming pool & Jacuzzi. Here is beautiful, and clean. I stayed Banig Room (pool side), P2,800／night.

Siquijor Is.

AM6:00, Go to Siquijor from Cebu city (Pier 3) by Ocean Jet.
1 day 2 fast ferries (Ocean Jet). But this day(8/11), it was necessary to transfer in Tagbilaran.
It is P1,330 (Cebu-Tag. & Tag.-Sic. total ticket price). Too much expensive.
Return, I used Boat & Bus (via Dumaguete & Liloan). Total about P300 (7 hours).

	Morning (AM6:00) Here is front of the hotel (Kiwi). Very quiet. I couldn't hear anything excluding the bird call.
Smile. Peace !! Peace !!	Giant cuttlefish
Very friendly Turtle (about 1.5m)	Very lucky, I could see them (Barracudas) again.
It is delicious highest. It drinks while seeing Sunset.

Moalboal

I arrived in about three hours from South Bus Terminal of Cebu City to Moalboal by non aircon bus.
It's very tight, very small seat.
There is no bus terminal in Moalboal, only busstop.
And, full passenger, no more seat. I couldn't sit about 30min. But very cheep (ow P130/Cebu-Moalboal).

	No Diving Jan.1 (Dive guide is holiday.) I rented motorbike in Quo Vadis. To harf around Cebu Is. (6 hours) Here is Santandar (south end Cebu Is.)
Near Tops in Cebu city. Rental fee P300/day in Moalboal. P500/day in Cebu city.

Moalboal

This New Year Holiday time, I have been to Cebu & Moalboal.
That was very hard. To move to Moalboal from Cebu city.

Good weather is restored and no wave after a typhoon passed.
But, Bad visibility in Moalboal coast. About 7〜8m. (The worst point is 1m)
About 10〜15m in Pescadoll Is.
This time, I was diving only 4 dive.

	Closed to all vehicles in about 4km of Moalboal, because the river has overflowed. Nothing bypass. I was walking to hold onto the rope this overflowed river. Of course, I'm muddy. The house was buried by 30-40cm by a large amount of mud. Of course, Bad visibility in Moalboal coast. I used Taxi to about 4km of Moalboal (2 hours half and P2,500 from Cebu city)

Siquijor Is.

August 8-16, I have been to Siquijor Is. & Cebu city, too.
This time, I moved by Bus, Boat, Trycicle from Cebu city to Siquijor.
It's 7hours & P500 (total) from Cebu city to Siquijor.
It's good weather & good condition (underwater).
I could see many kind of fish & beautiful sunset.

	This diving point is "Sanctuary". 15min. from Kiwi div.resort by boat. The Barracudas group come here. This time, they are small (50-60cm). They has strong curiosity. Little while, They were swimming around me.

Cabilao Is.

September 18-23, I have been to Cabilao Is. & Cebu city, too.
This time, the first time, I rode on "Cebu Pacific" in Narita-Manila-Cebu.
Very small!! In-flight meal for which it asked beforehand.
It was almost fine (sometime rain.)
Temperature 30℃ and 28-29℃ in water temperature. Visibility is little bad (about 10-20m).
It was "Propeller plane (no Jet)" at return flight.
This time, it was unstable flight by bad air stream. (Cebu-Manila: 2hours)

	This diving point is "Cabilao Is.". Temperature 30℃ and 28-29℃ in water temperature. Visibility is little bad (about 10-20m). Left photo is near Looc (north of Cabilao Is.).

This New Year Holiday time, I have been to Cebu & Moalboal.
It's good Weather. There were a wave and a flow a little, and bad visibility.(About 7〜8m)
This time, I moved by Bus from Cebu city to Moalboal.
It's 3hours & P107 (no-aircon bus) from Cebu city to Moalboal.
It's 10 min. & P150 (Trycicle) from Moalboal to Panagsama Beach.

There is crowded with many people in Ocean Jet.
But, it was very quiet in Cabilao Is.

Aug. 10 - 16, I have been to Olango Is. & Cebu city, too.
This time, I used "ANA"&"PAL".
Olango Is. is next island of Cebu Mactan Is.
Here is "Nature Island" and quiet.
This time, it was good weather, but shower at afternoon. Then, I could not see "Sunset"
I dived only 3 times. I had no chance, take a good photo.

Malapascua Is.

This New Year Holiday time, I have been to Cebu & Malapascua Is.
It's good Weather. There were a wave(1〜2m) and bad visibility.(About 5〜10m)
This is my second visit here. A hotel increased.
I moved by Bus from Cebu city to Maya.
It's 4hours & P200 (aircon bus) from Cebu city to Maya.
It's 1hour. & P120 (Small & Middle Boat) from Maya to Malapascua Is.
I get on a small boat to the offing at low tide.
After the squall. It was very beautiful Sunset.

	Here is Maya's offing (100-200m). To use a small boat at low tide. Ofcourse, DON'T MOVE until full passenger. It took one hour for the wave (1〜2m). The small boat 20P. This Boat 100P。 If you want to go early, to use a Private Boat. It's very expensive (over 1,000P).
Here is a front of the Cocobana Beach Resort. The boat come here from Maya. I stayed here. (sea view 2,400P/night) Nothing Diving Service in Cocobana. But no probrem. I used the Blue Water Malapascua Beach & Dive Resort (next the hotel).

	You can see the Thresher Shark. To do so, you must leave the Dive Trip at am 6:00. This time, I couldn't wake up. 波が1〜2mあり、

Apr. 29 - May 07, I have been to Siquijor Is. & Cebu.
It's good Weather. There were a small wave, current and bad visibility (About 15m).
I moved by Bus from Cebu city to Dumaguete and by OceanJet from Dumaguete to Siquijor.
It's very cheep, but very tired (full passenger).

	I stayed Kiwi again. This time, fully booked 8 cottages. Here is a front of Kiwi. Very quiet.。 I couldn't take The Barracudas group, because they ran away as soon as they saw me.

Cabilao Is.

Aug. 10 - 16, I have been to Cebu & Cabilao Is. .
This time, I rode on Direct Fright (PAL),Narita-Cebu.
I could arrive 1:30pm in Cebu, and departure 2:45pm in Cebu.
But, the Airplane (Airbus A321-200) is very small.
Tourists decreased more than usual. Is it the influence of the terrorism uproar?
Cabilao Is. is peaceful, quiet and relaxed as usual

	Here is "Polaris" of Cabilao Is. I stayed De Luxe Premium. This room 3,476/night with A/C, hot shower, refrigerator, and balcony. This season is "Season Off", It's a very nice place here so I could relax.

This New Year Holiday time(Dec.28-Jan.4), I have been to Cebu & Moalboal.
Everyday, it was sometime fine, sometime rain.

This time, I moved by Bus from Cebu city to Moalboal, too.

	This time, the Quo Vadis (hotel) was already full of reservations in Moalboal. And, I stayed "Diver's Lodge" by their introduction P1,500/night (no aircon). To eat & drink in Restaurant & Bar of Quo Vadis. I could look at beautiful sunset in Moalboa only Dec.29.
Here is "Lantaw Restaurant" in Mactan Is. Nice View & Good Taste ! It is far from the town and is crowded.	There are 2 shops (Busay, SRP) in Cebu except here (Mactan Cordova).

Aug. 11 - 19, I have been to Siquijor Is. & Cebu.
It's good Weather. 30℃ (Better in Japan・・・In Japan 40℃)
There were a small wave, but no problem. And visibility is good (About 20m).
I have seen the Barracudas group.
I could see many kind of fish & beautiful sunset.

	Here is Kiwi of Siquijor Is. 8 hours from Cebu city via Liloan, Dumaguete by Bus & Boat. I stayed this cottage in Kiwi. Balcony is very nice.
This point is "Sanctuary". About 10 min. from Kiwi by Motor Boat. The Barracudas group come here. This time, they are small (50-60cm)

Dec.25/2018 - Feb.02/2019, I have been to Cebu & Moalboal & Siquijor Is.
This time is 40days "Long Vacation".

(Extend my VISA) I have been to Immigration in J center mall of Mandaue, because over 30days. It's very easy "Extension procedure". And I could take a Passport same day. But too many waiting people here. I waited 4hours without chair.

Moalboal

12/28, I stayed in"Diver's Lodge Nido", 12/29-1/2, I stayed in"Quo Vadis".
It was alternating between being clear, being cloudy, and being rainy
There were a small wave, and visibility is bad (10〜15m). (Except Pescadoll - over 25m)
The under water temperature was 27〜28℃.

Siquijor Is.

1/2-1/26, I stayed in "Kiwi Dive Resort"(Sandugan, Larena).
It was bad weather. Sometime raining, always wave, wind, and bad visibility(5〜10m).
And the boat has broken (2weeks).
But, I could see "Beautiful Sunset".

June 12 - 30, I have been to Cebu & Cabilao Is. & Sipalay.
Sometime it rained, but it was almost good weather. And it wasn't crowded there, because it is an off-season now.
I went to Sipalay for the first time.
Here is very interesting under water. The complicated see bottom, like the maze. And many coral & fish.
Bad luck, I can't take a underwater photograph in Sipalay,
because, I have broken a camera (to be flooded).

Cabilao Is.

At 7:00am, I started from Cebu city to Tagbilaran by O.J.(Ocean Jet).
All the seats are booked by the Filipino.
I moved from Tagbilaran to Mocpoc (Sandingan Is.) by taxi.
Taxi fee is P1,300 (usually P1,700). 2years before, P1,100. (18%UP)
Before noon, I arrived in "Polaris" (Cabilao Is.).
It was good weather every day. And no wave, underwater was 30〜28℃, visibility 20〜25m.

I go back Tagbilaran by same taxi. And go to Dumaguete by O.J.
To Sipalay, it takes 5〜6hours by bus (Yellow Ceres Bus).
1 night stay in Dumaguete. I stayed in"Bethel Guest House"。
Here is Cheep. (P1,300/Double)
Next early morning 5:00am, departure in Dumaguete B.T.
.And, need to change bus (2times)
I booked Sipalay's hotel is "Artistic Diving Beach Resort". The place is 5〜6Km distant from Sipalay town.
Trycicle is expensive (P600). So, I ridded a motorbike rear seat (P100, 15min.).

	【　Place　】 Most west of Negros Is. The south west of Sipalay town is Sight seeing & Diving area. 【　Getting there　】 (by Ceres Bus) Dumaguete→( ? )→Hinoba-an→Sipalay, ･･･5.0h, P316, need transfer. (1 or 2 times) Dumaguete Dep.; 5:00am, 8:00am･･･more until evening Bacolod→Sipalay, ･･･5.0h, P291 Direct Dep.; Every 1hour・・・many Usually, form Bacolod. From Sipalay town to any Resort Hotel ; Trycicle or Motorbike.

【　Under water　】 Mazy valley, some sunken Island, small drop off, sand, and many coral, many fish. And here is protection area (marine park). I could see Turtle, Lobster and many kind of fish…. But no images, because I have broken a camera (to be flooded). Underwater was 31〜28℃, visibility 10〜20m.
	【　Etc　】 It is very nice view from pool of "Perth Resort". Here is 4km back to town from Artistic. (Entrance + Pool Fee = P180)。 I went to here. Bad luck, because it was a heavy rain. I will go to here again.

Nov.18〜Dec.16, I have been to Cebu & Camiguin & Siquijor & Sipalay.
Sometime it heavy rained, but it was almost good weather. And it wasn't crowded there, because it is an off-season now.

Camiguin Is.

It's 7 years ago that I came this Island before.
Now, be flying direct airplane from Cebu (1/day PAL&Cebu Pacific), from Manila (3/week Sky Jet).
Go & Return P3,800 (Cebu Pacific in Cebu city office)
Go back Cebu at Nov.26, a typhoon came. PAL is canceled.
But, Cebu Pacific flew 2 hours late.
This time, I stayed in Terrasse Beach Resort near Paras Beach Resort (inside Diving Service"JOHNNY'S DIVE 'N' FUN")
Now, off season, but Fully booked.
But I could stay Deluxe Ocean View Room (P2,000/N with Breakfast) by kind staff.

There are many hotel & restaurant near Yumbing, Agoho (north Camiguin).
Paradiso (Italian Restaurant), this restaurant has fine view. Of course, delicious.

And, there are 2 hot springs in this island.
Ardent Hot Spring (not hot 30℃) & Tangub Hot Spring (beach side, at low tide)

	【 White Is. 】 This small island is only white sand beach in north of Camiguin. You can go to here from pier of Paras Resort. (about 15min.) Many diving point around here.
【 Mantigue Is. 】 There is restaurant in this small island in south east of Camiguin By small boat from near pier. (P600/Boat・6persons, about 20min.) Many diving point around here too. You can see some turtles (1〜2m).

Siquijor Is.

I go to Dumaguete from Camiguin via Cebu by airplane.
And I go to Siquijor after stayed in Dumaguete.
I stayed 7nights (Nov.27-Dec.4) in Kiwi of Sandugan Siquijor.
It's bad condition in underwater. Temperature 28℃, Visibility1〜15m.
Because, a typhoon came.

Sipalay

Dec.4〜11, I have been to Sipalay again.
Need 6 hours by the bus from Dumaguete to Sipalay.
On the way, change the bus 2 times in Bayawan and Hinoba-an.
Here is very far, but very beautiful place.
It's good condition in underwater. Temperature 28℃, Visibility15〜20m.
It's good season now. (Best season Dec.〜May)
I stayed "Artistic Diving Beach Resort"again.
This time, I stayed Deluxe Room Beach (P1,990/N). Just small room than last time.
I could see the sunset from balcony.
This time, the poolside bar is open.

	【 Artictic 】 Illuminated Pool & Bar in Artistic. It's very quiet in this season (before Dec.12). But many philipino came here at Saturday & Sunday. It's abundant menu, and delicious. And, It's fullness diving equipment.
I stayed 7 nights, ate 3 meals + Beer / everyday, and 10div. (include rental equipment). I paid total P38,000. Right photo is beach front Artistic. Very beautiful sunset too.
	【　Etc　】 Here is Perth Resort. Here is 4km back to town from Artistic. (Entrance + Pool Fee = P180) I have been to here again. This is fine day's view. Very beautiful. (from Poolside) Even on weekdays, many philipino came here.

Two years half passed, I have returned to the Philippines.
I have not been back from the Philippines since March 20, 2020, just before the lockdown two years half ago.

I have been to Cebu & Moalboal from September 13 to 21.
It has eased, but the world is still undergoing COVID-19 measures.
During the planning stages, I was in a very messy situation that made me want to stop going.
The regulations have since been deregulated.

Quiet in Cebu before COVID-19 ?
There were fewer tourists than before COVID-19, and some restaurants had gone out of business.
I could not meet any Japanese in Moalboal. And asked me "Are you Korean ?".
This time, it was good weather. But it was bad conditions in underwater.
Most of the coral was broken by large typhoon at the end of last year 2021. But there are a few left.
And the broken house remained intact in Cebu city.

Moalboal

I took a TAXI from Bayfront Hotel in Cebu city to Moalboal. But I move Bus always.
(Go P3,000, Re P2,250) ･･･ I should have bargained more when I went.
I listened. If they are infected with COVID-19, many of them cannot even go to the hospital.
There is a checkpoint on the way to the Beach from the town of Moalboal.
And check of Pass issued by Moalboal Town.
Ordinary people pass through unmasked. But Taxi was stopped.
At this time, I paid P100 to pass.

It is vacant compared to before in Beach & Resort.
Some restaurants and hotels are closed. Some of them are newly built.
I stayed at QuoVadis again. (Pool Side Cottage P4,100/N)
Price increase. Of course, I was given a Discount.

	CCLEX (Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway) It was completed in no time. This bridge is a toll road connecting Cebu city (near SM Seaside) and Mactan Cordova (south west of Mactan). As you can see, there aren't many cars. Even if I ask local people, it seems that people (cars) passing by are rare. It would have been better to have a direct connection to the airport. I look forward to further development.

This time, 3 Divers. And 3Boat men. Diving Shop is still good if there are customers, and some places are still closed. Dive Shop is also likely to be eliminated.

I arrived in the Philippines (Cebu) a little earlier than planned.
I was able to ride a white Taxi at the airport without queuing at all.
But it was a busy time of the day at 7:30pm.
It took about 30 minutes
from the airport to the hotel in the city center (near Ayala Center).

Sipalay

Sipalay. Here is the western port town of Negros Island.
I have moved all Bus and Ferry, like 4 years ago.
Very Cheap, but Very Hard.
One night in Dumaguete on the way there. Return to Cebu.
It took longer than usual, because it was under construction.
Cebu→Dumaguete: 6 hours half by Ceres Bus Direct (P433)
Dumaguete→Sipalay: 5 hours by Ceres Bus (2 transfers) (P360)
Sipalay→Cebu: 13 hours by Ceres Bus (3 transfers)+Siblan〜Liloan Ferry (P833)

	Almost no tourists come, because it's an inconvenient place. I could dive only 3 days, because the bad weather.Probably due to the typhoon. The weather cleared up and the waves subsided, but the visibility was about 10 meters. The photo on the left is the Pool and Bar of the hotel (Artistic) where I stayed. The Bar was under renovation. Prices are 20-30% higher than four years ago for meals. Accommodation Fee and Diving Fee were almost unchanged. Deluxe Room : P2,490/N
I dive with my guide, just the two of us. Div. point is 20-30 minutes by boat. Probably a deficit. The photo on the right is "Japanese spiny lobster" (No scissors). Very Big. Whiskers (right edge to left edge) : 1.5-2.0m Body : about 40cm

Sep. 13〜27, I have been to Cebu & Cabilao Is. (Bohol).
Upon entry into the Philippines, all arrivals must register on “eTravel”,
and only show "the QR code".
But, they don't see "the QR code".
Perhaps they are confirming registration with Immigration.
Because without registration we are not allowed to enter the country.

Narita Airport is somewhat crowded with foreigners returning home.
This time, I arrived at Mactan Airport around 7:00 PM on a direct flight to Cebu.
Starting this June, Manila's NAIA T2 is dedicated to PAL's domestic flights.
If you are coming to Cebu (Mactan) on a PAL domestic flight with a transfer in Manila's NAIA,
You will need to make a cumbersome Terminal move.
If you are going to Cebu (Mactan) I would recommend a direct flight.
In addition to PAL, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia offer direct flights from Japan.

Mactan Airport T2 (International Terminal) was deserted.
The driver charged me P500 (to near Ayala center).

Cabilao Is.

It has been 4 years since I have been to Polaris in Cabilao Is.
I will go via Tubigon this time to avoid the crowded Tagbilaran.
Sailing from Cebu to Tubigon.
Fast cat ferries (Weesam Express) depart from Pier 4
and car ferries (Fast Cat and Lite Ferries) depart from Pier 3.
Cabilao Is. is between Tagbilaran and Tubigon. It is cheaper and faster than via Tagbilaran.

From Tubigon to Mocpoc (Pier opposite Cabilao Is.), 30 minutes by New Trycicle, P400.
The conventional type is a side car, but the new type is a covered trike.
(Can accommodate up to three passengers in the back seat.)
This was very fast; it was stirring up the SUV.
From here to Talisay (the gateway to Cabilao Is.), it takes about 15 minutes on a shared Banka Boat. (P35)
Motorbike ride within Cabilao Is., about 10 minutes to Polaris. (P100)
The road near Polaris was damaged by the typhoon,
and I had to get off our motorbike and walk for about 10 minutes.

This is the Poradis where I stayed this time. It was off season and there were only 4 guests staying. I was very relaxed. But, There were many fallen trees due to last year's typhoon, and most of the houses and rooms had been repaired, but some houses were unusable. The generator was under repair and the power was out during the daytime. I was cooling myself in Pool.
	Although it sometimes rained heavily, the sunset was beautiful. I carried the table to the edge of the shore and had Beer Time ! It's the best time of the day. ★ ☆ ★

May 25〜June 06, I have been to Cebu & Moalboal.
To avoid transfers, I again took a direct flight to Cebu.
It is off-season now, but the PAL cabin was almost 80% full.

After immigration formalities, I exchanged a small amount of ￥ to Peso.
30,000 yen → P10,400.(P1=￥3)
"The value of the Japanese yen" declines and prices rise.
I can't afford the luxury.

Cebu city

This time, I stayed at the Big Hotel in Mandaue City, next to Cebu.
The hotel is next to Park Mall, convenient for dining and shopping.
The My Bus stop is also nearby.
From the airport, I took the My Bus (P25) to Park Mall.
I would not recommend using it at night.
Because, Bus stop is a bit far from the Mall,
there is nothing around it, and there is little lighting.
By the way, My Bus is different from Jeepny and Trycicle.
The route, time and stopping place are fixed, so please be careful.

Moalboal

Getting Around (Cebu city to Moalboal) : 3 Hours, P175, by Ceres Bus.
It is quite crowded inside the bus.
I think there were about 20 people standing. It was hard to move.
Trycicle fare from Moalboal to Resort is more expensive. (P250)
On the way back, I took a Taxi to Cebu City. (P2,500)
(PS: P3,500 / Cebu city to Moalboal by Taxi)

	I stayed at QuoVadis. It has been 2 years since the last time. This time I stayed at Pool Side Cottage (P4,935 /N). I felt the price had gone up considerably from two years ago. The photo on the left shows the Pool Side of QuoVadis. And at the back right is Restaurant. Beyond that is the ocean.
